PM donates Tk 20cr to Fire Service Welfare Trust

Secretary of Security Services Division under the Ministry of Home Affairs Farid Uddin Ahmed Chowdhury on behalf of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina handed over a cheque for Tk 20 crore in donations to Fire Service Welfare Trust on Wednesday.

Chairman of Fire Service Welfare Trust Brig Gen Ali Ahmed Khan received the cheque at a programme at the conference room of Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defence.Speaking on the occasion, Farid Uddin said the donation was made, as the premier is satisfied with the performance of the force.

If any firefighters or defence workers die while discharging their duties, the money will be spent on them, he added.
